Who Dared
Book Discussion Group Series
Sunday, February 1, 1:30 p.m.
Facilitated by Lisa Dolan, the series is focused around biographies
that explore the lives of women who broke from convention to challenge
American society to live up to its ideals of democracy and equality.
The group meets monthly (2/1, 3/1, 4/15, and 5/3). Contact HOH for
a copy of the books being discussed and to register. The project is
free and is supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities
through the New York Council for the Humanities.
Life
Drawing
Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. from February 15 through May
24. No instructor or specific method is followed; the workshop allows
artists to work independently in a disciplined environment. $10 per
session or $120 ($95 for HOH members) for fifteen sessions.
Basic
Drawing with Maj Kalfus
Sundays, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
January 25 through March 1
A basic drawing class for those who have little or no drawing experience
or want to improve their skills. Line, technique, shapes and composition
will be explored. Just bring a drawing pad and graphite, charcoal
and pastels. $95 ($85 for HOH members) for all six sessions. Registration
required.
Painting
Studio with Yura Adams
Wednesdays, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.
January 14, 21, 28 and February 4, 11, 18
A course for all levels; beginners can discover oil or acrylics for
the first time, and more advanced students can develop their skills.
Original exercises and projects are tailored to each student. $120
for six sessions, $100 HOH members. Registration required. Scholarships
are available.

DanceFIT
Wednesdays, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
January 21 through February 25
Instructor Krisna Creque Dodig guides participants in a class suitable
for all levels of fitness using basic core-strengthening principles
and adding some fun dance moves. A great way to kick off your New
Years’ fitness goals. $75 for all six session. Pre-registration
is required.
An
Open Mic for Songwriters
Songwriters and musicians are invited to share original songs and
meet other songwriters. Fridays, January 13 & February 13 at 8

Gallery
Hours are Monday through Saturday, Noon to 5 p.m. Building
tours (offered anytime during open hours), readings and all exhibitions
are always free of charge. Parking can generally be found on Warren
Street, or in two municipal parking lots on the 300 block. An accessible
entrance and accessible parking is located off City Hall Place. If you
plan to attend an HOH event and need special assistance please don't
hesitate to contact us.
Large print programs are available for all events.
Reservation
and Refund Policy:
All
reservations are general seating, and are held until 5 minutes before
the event. If not claimed by that time they are released to the waiting
list. No ticket purchases or workshop fees will be refunded unless the
event is cancelled. Contact
